Changes to winter delivery schedule
With the weather changing, the delivery schedule will go to every other week starting with the Nov 12 delivery. That means you could get your delivery of organic produce for Thanksgiving on Tuesday, November 26, so plan now for what you need! Orders must be placed by Sundays at 6 PM for delivery Tuesday afternoons. Orders placed on non-delivery weeks will be held over for the following week.
And don’t forget the Turkey!
Big Bear Prime Meats & Harmony Farms have a fantastic selection of meats, including vegetarian-fed responsibly-raised turkeys, offered at $3.30/lb. Orders must be placed by Thursday, November 21 by 4 PM and will be delivered to your door Tuesday, November 26. Turkeys arrive cold but not frozen, so they are ready for Thanksgiving cooking. Call Mike or Carol Chilcoat at Big Bear Prime Meats at 909-725-8820 to order, and indicate what weight turkey you’d like and where you’d like it delivered.
Boxes are convenient and cost-effective ways to ensure good selection
Whichever box options you choose, you’ll get a selection of the best of what’s in season.
Basic Boxes typically have what you’d eat within a week: ingredients for salad, a side vegetable or two, a few items of assorted fruits, and maybe an herb or seasonal item.
Farm Boxes typically include all the items in a Basic Box plus a selection of additional fruits, veggies, and herbs.
Fruit Boxes will contain a pound each of three to four fruits.
CSA Boxes are full of produce selected by the farmer himself, which may include items not even available for individual order on the Farm2Mountain website but are in season! Be prepared for adventurous eating and new culinary ideas with a variety of items. CSA Boxes are the best value for the cost and are available in small, medium, and large sizes.
Spread the word!
